Carmel Apples

I don't know if anyone would want to eat these but the kids had fun!! Kendra keeps telling us that Halloween is coming to our house. She is excited but I don't think she understands what for.

Fall

I caught a few pics of my kids before church a few weeks ago. Wyatt is the worst about getting his picture made unless he is cross dressing. These pics are scary!

Kendra is 3!

Kendra turned 3 years old on September 28th. I can't believe how time flies. She is my baby!! We had her birthday party at our house and a couple of our good friends and their kids came. Kendra had lots of fun. Grandma Judy and Papa were here and Nonnie and Pappy came over too.

She wa
s so cute when she was opening presents. When she opened her stick horse, she jumped on it and ran around the room and back to where she started. It was so funny.  She is already telling me that she wants to have another birthday. She got lots of girl stuff. Her doll house which she is loving, and polly pockets, barbies and dress up clothes. One of her favorite things came from her Aunt Jesica and her kids- slipper flip flops. I have already had to wash them because she thinks they are regular shoes.

Kendra can be such a sweet girl when she wants to be. She talks like she's 10 most of the time. She thinks that she is big now that she turned 3 and if anyone tells her different then she lets them know. She loves to play with all the girl stuff. She also loves to sing and sings all the time when she is playing. Her new favorite song that she has learned is "Happy Family." She keeps me busy and we wouldn't know what to do without her!! We love you Big Girl!!

Wyatt turned 8 on August 27th. He took cupcakes to school and got to got to Cub Scouts at church that night. He opened his presents when we got home and ate more cupcakes. I think that cupcakes are all he ate that day.

1st Day of School

Monday was the first day of school and Clay's 1st day of Kindergarten. He did great and has a very nice teacher. Wyatt says that he is not glad to be back in school but hasn't complained about going. Except for today, because it is his birthday and he didn't think he should have to go to school on his birthday! He turned 8 today. He took cupcakes to school for his class and has had a good day.

Kendra misses them a little but we have been busy running errands that I won't do with all 3 kids. She keeps asking when she is going to school. Mother's Day Out starts in a couple of weeks and she will be glad to go and see her friends a couple of days a week.

Today is a very sad day for me and many others. My friend, Gary Hensel lost his wife today to cancer. She has been battling for a little over a year now. She was a ray of sunshine and brought sweetness and joy to those around her.  Gary and I worked together on the park board and were successfully able to get a park bond passed to develop more parks in Midlothian. As I read his blog today, I learned that Cindy and I have the same birthday. It also happens to be the last time that she was at home. My thoughts and prayers are for his family.

Home to the HEAT!

Wow! We have really been spoiled the last few summers. It has been 102 to 105 for the past couple of days and there is no end in sight. I don't even like to go outside when it is like this. It hasn't been too humid though so the evenings aren't unbearable. The boys have been fishing in the lake as much as possible even though with the extreme heat and know rain, it is shrinking by leaps and bounds. They've also been swimming in it which grosses me out. We only have 1 puppy left and I am trying to talk Jon in to letting us keep him. He is a sweet puppy. The kids are real original and have named him Brownie.

Wyatt is having his tonsils out on Thursday. He is not excited but I will be glad to not be running to the doctor every other month with Strept. I think he will feel much better.
